It just goes to show that its not entirely essential you hire a guitar teacher to learn an instrument you are so passionate about. Especially in our current world economic situation, where most people don't have the disposable income to hire a musical teacher. Im just a testimony that shows one can achieve anything is you put your mind to it. I put my mind towards learning how to play from scratch....no teachers... just me, a few books and the guitar ;)
