It also critiques philosophical and psychological aspects of the book briefly, to tie them to the images and to emphasize the meaning behind Lord of the Flies. The song playing is "Hero of War" by Rise Against. The song narrates the story of a man that goes to war just to get to know the world, but the violent environment surrounding him transforms him into something evil. This same thing happens in Lord of the Flies, the boys are made evil by the violent and wild environment that surrounds them once they arrive at the island. Most of the atrocities that occur in the book occur because the boys go mad due to the fear caused by the allusion of the Lord of the Flies or the Beastie. What the kids don't know is that the Lord of the Flies actually lies in each and every one of them, once they become violent and savage, and is triggered ! by the same fear of it.
